Night of triumph as hospitality sector’s unsung heroes take their place within the awards spotlight – DorsetBizNews

They’re typically unsung heroes but last night they obtained well-deserved recognition for the part they play in BCP’s multi-million pound hospitality sector.

Waiters and waitresses, back of workplace workers – together with HR, administration and accounts – in addition to upkeep, night time workers and kitchen porters had been among the many roles honoured on the second BH Area Hospitality Association (BAHA) Recognition Awards.

More than 130 nominations had been acquired for this year’s awards which were held at the Hilton Bournemouth.

Tim Seward, BAHA Chair – who additionally obtained an award for his particular contribution to BAHA – said: “These awards have been created to bring resorts collectively, to recognise the groups that work in them and have fun every little thing the business contributes to Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Cllr Beverley Dunlop, pictured left, Cabinet Member, BCP Council, for Tourism, Culture and Vibrant Places, stated: “It is both a pleasure and a privilege to be with a few of the hardest working people I know, to rejoice the perfect in hospitality, in certainly one of our most essential industries.

“I know hospitality is tough work, as a end result of I’ve accomplished it.

The awards have been hosted by Andy Brennan with an Ibiza set – led by DJ Gareth Morrell, Vicky Barents Sax and percussionist John Spencer – because the opener.
